The proposed route from the West Midlands to Manchester, Leeds and beyond was consulted on between 17 July 2013 and 31 January 2014. The consultation allowed both individuals and organisations the opportunity to put forward their views and comment on the proposed route, stations and supporting infrastructure such as depots, viaducts and tunnels. It also sought views on how the potential released capacity generated by HS2 could be used, and on the opportunities to introduce other utilities along the route.
The consultation and supporting documents for the proposed route from the West Midlands to Manchester, Leeds and beyond are available in this section.

All the responses to the consultation were submitted to an independent analysis company, which will review them and report to HS2 Ltd on its findings. We will use this feedback to look at possible changes to the proposed route – as set out within these documents – before making recommendations to the Secretary of State for Transport.
