HS2 Ltd awards two contracts for Railway Systems Design Services

HS2 Ltd has awarded two design contracts to Parsons Brinckerhoff under Lot 2 of its Professional Services Framework, covering Railway Systems Design Services.
The first contract, valued at £4.3m, covers the design of the high speed rail systems for Phase 1 of the project, from London to West Midlands.

As part of its work on minimising the environmental impact of the new high
speed rail line that will link London and the West Midlands, HS2 Ltd is today beginning a consultation seeking expert technical views on the Scope and Methodology of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The consultation opens today (4 April) and will run for eight weeks.
