Exploring archaeology at St James’s Gardens – unearthing the past and discovering local stories

Come along to our site offices and community garden for hourly talks and activities on themes around the history of St James's Gardens

Join us for hourly talks on themes around the history and heritage of St James’s Gardens. Our archaeologists are currently excavating the site and recording extensive burials there. The talks will explore the approach to archaeology and the research and exciting findings so far, giving us a fascinating insight into Euston’s past.

We will also be exhibiting the Time Truck ‘Archaeology on Wheels’ to give a hands-on experience of archaeology. As well as exploring the past, we would also like to hear your stories and memories of the local area and will be recording these on the day as part of our local oral history project using our pop-up recording studio, set up in the community garden.
