HS2 funding in Buckinghamshire
Route wide funding with either an allocation for Buckinghamshire or funding that can be applied for, for projects in Buckinghamshire.
£40m Community and Environment Fund (CEF and BLEF)
The Fund is administered by Groundwork UK on behalf of HS2 Ltd.
One funding programme (with dual aims) to offset the disruption of Phase One of HS2 on local communities.
£15m allocated to the HS2 central region (Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire).
Of which – £5.72m has been allocated to 110 projects in the central region to date (including £2.94m to 52 projects in Buckinghamshire).
£30m Road Safety Fund (RSF)
To mitigate the effects of construction traffic along the line of route (where funding is not already provided out of the overall HS2 budget) with a focus on leaving a legacy of enhanced road safety.
£3.95m allocated to Buckinghamshire Council.
£310k (8%) drawdown for projects to date, to fund programme development and, to date, one scheme.

£5m Woodland Fund
Funding to support native woodland creation and the restoration of Plantations on Ancient Woodland Sites (PAWS) within a 25-mile zone surrounding the HS2 Phase One route.
The fund is administered by the Forestry Commission on behalf of HS2 Ltd.
£1.45m approved to 34 projects to date.
17 projects funded in Buckinghamshire to date with a total investment of £190,765.
Area specific funding for Buckinghamshire
£3m Colne Valley additional mitigation plan
Funding for additional landscape and ecological mitigation and enhancements within the Colne Valley Regional Park, in furtherance and beyond the mitigation proposed within the HS2 Proposed Scheme. This may encompass proposals both within and outside the present HS2 Bill limits.
Funds are administered through the Colne Valley Regional Park Panel.
X projects approved to date with a total investment of £1.7m.
£3m Chilterns AONB Panel
Funding to support the identification and delivery of local environmental integration and enhancement measures (over and above that proposed in the Environmental Statement or related detailed design).
Buckinghamshire Council is the commissioning authority for this funding. The Chilterns AONB Review Group has been established to drive this work. This group is made up of Local Authorities in the Chilterns affected by HS2, the Chilterns Conservation Board, Natural England, Department for Transport and HS2 Ltd.
3 projects approved to date with a total investment of £741k.
£1m Calvert mitigation package
Buckinghamshire Council is the commissioning authority for this funding. It is for additional mitigation for the effects from the IMD in the area. This was part of a wider assurances package which was given through the Bill process.
Funds to be shared between Calvert Green Parish Council, Charndon Parish Council, Steeple Claydon Parish Council and Twyford Parish Council.
No projects have been funded from this allocation to date.
