HS2 works notification: sewer surveys and utility works on Gordon Street, Gower Place, Endsleigh Gardens

What we are doing

Update on Gordon Street, Gower Place and Endsleigh Garden sewer surveys – night time works, until mid-September

We are currently undertaking condition and connectivity investigations to the sewers on Gordon Street, Gower Place and Endsleigh Gardens. To facilitate these works we insert a camera into manholes and take photographs of the sewer. The surveys will help us determine the locations of the sewers and how to connect them at a later stage.
We will carry out the surveys at night when there are fewer pedestrians. To enable the works, we will temporarily close sections of Gordon Street and Gower Place and install temporary traffic lights to help keep the flow of traffic. Access will be maintained and work sites will be cleared and reinstated daily. This work is not expected to be noisy.

BT Openreach works on Gordon Street at the junctions with Endsleigh Gardens and Gower Place – night time works, September 2022

During September, BT Openreach will also be working in the area. They will be installing new cables and jointing these cables to the existing network. These works will take place at night and will not involve noisy working. There will be no excavation. All works will take place via existing BT chambers and manholes. Lane closures will be in place at these locations with traffic still able to access these roads. There will be no disruption to existing supplies during these works.
