What we are doing
We recently informed you about lane closures on the Stonebridge Island in order to carry out some GPR surveys. This work has taken longer than we had anticipated, and we will need a further day to complete the work. The lanes will now re-open on Friday 2 September.
We will be carrying out GPR surveys at the Stonebridge Island roundabout linking the A45 (Coventry Road) with the A452 (Kenilworth Road). GPR uses radar pulses to create a profile of what the ground looks like beneath the surface. GPR can be used in a variety of ground conditions, including rock, soil, pavements, and structures. The GPR can be pushed along by hand, attached to a buggy or – on a larger scale – can be attached to a van or tractor.
To carry out this work safely we will need to close lanes on the roundabout and its approaches.
The work will start on Monday 22 August until Friday 25 August and then resume on Tuesday 30 August and finish on Friday 2 September.
The lanes will be closed from 09:30 and 15:30.
