Euston Approaches Map
A construction map of Euston Approaches.
You can use the text below to learn more about the map.
- Tunnels and Cavern: Two underground tunnels will split into three as they run from approximately Parkway to Mornington Street Bridge.
- Concrete Box: This structure will allow trains to transition from the underground tunnels to the open-air section of the railway cutting closer to Euston Station.
- Headhouses: Two headhouses will provide emergency and maintenance access to the tunnels. These will be located within the existing railway cutting near Park Village East—one beside Park Village Studios and another atop the concrete box south of Mornington Street Bridge.
- Cutting (Euston Throat): This section involves deepening and widening the open-air railway cutting to a depth of 16 meters. It will be situated in front of Regent’s Park Estate, running parallel to the existing National Rail tracks.
- Granby Terrace Bridge Extension: The bridge extensions will include utility diversions to ensure uninterrupted services during construction.
