Learning Legacy

Sharing knowledge to improve future projects

We’re sharing what we’ve learnt from building HS2 to help the wider industry improve how it delivers major projects.

What we're sharing

The HS2 Learning Legacy includes:

  • knowledge and insights from building the railway that will help future projects
  • documents and templates other projects can use
  • datasets for future research
  • contact details for the experts delivering HS2

How we collect information

We gather Learning Legacy content through challenges – open calls to everyone working on HS2 to submit papers and resources on themes relevant to major infrastructure projects.

Building on previous projects

The HS2 Learning Legacy builds on work from other major projects, including:

  • Crossrail Learning Legacy
  • Thameslink Learning Legacy
  • London 2012 Learning Legacy

Our Learning Legacy contributes to the wider knowledge captured on the Major Projects Knowledge Hub.
