HS2 Benefits Update, October 2022

The October benefits update focuses on areas where HS2 is delivering the right way and leaving legacy for other infrastructure projects such as cutting carbon, innovation, and improvements to the environment.

It also highlights examples of benefits being delivered north of Birmingham in support of the levelling up agenda. This update has a variety of case studies including progress to make construction diesel-free, keeping lorries off the roads for communities, the achievements of Phase One Enabling Works contracts and environmental works on Phase 2a.

Data is correct at June 2022, with the exception of the jobs figure which is from September 2022.
