Help applying for jobs

We’re committed to supporting people from under-represented and disadvantaged groups to apply for jobs on the HS2 programme.

Our Jobs Brokerage partners can help you apply for supply chain vacancies. They provide support that includes CV writing, interview skills and applications.

HS2 brings jobs closer to West Midlands communities

We’re working with the Department for Work and Pensions and the National Careers Service to help local people get jobs on HS2. The high-speed railway between London and the West Midlands is creating thousands of employment opportunities right now.

How we’re helping people find work

We’ve set up HS2 Recruitment Hubs to make it easier for people in the West Midlands to learn about job opportunities. Our main hub is at Washwood Heath Job Centre, close to where we’re building the HS2 depot. We also take mobile hubs into local communities.

At the hubs, you can:

  • find out about jobs on HS2
  • learn about training opportunities
  • meet recruiters face to face
  • get help with applications

Why Washwood Heath?

We chose Washwood Heath because it’s near a major HS2 site where hundreds of people will work when the railway opens. The location means local people can easily access opportunities on their doorstep.
