Students will use their ‘design and make’ skills to design a futuristic railway station for their local area, to be opened in the year 2050. Students will choose the site where their station will be built, and research the needs of local people to inform their design thinking. They should also consider the context of the site and aim to create a station with minimal natural and historical environmental impacts.
Students will learn to:
Students will use the Essential Skills of creativity, teamwork and speaking.
This project will take about 10 hours to complete.
Students will need tools and materials for drawing and modelling.
