What we are doing
Thames Water update
We have completed the diversion of the new sewer, which is in
use. We now need to decommission the length of the old sewer
by filling it with concrete. This will be accessed via the manhole
on the old golf course site.
We also need to access the other end of the old sewer via the
manhole in the road on The Greenway outside no 43. The road
will remain open at all times, but it will be reduced to one lane for
a short distance – give way signs will be in place. On road parking
will be restricted in the immediate area but residents will be able
to access their driveways at all times. Footpaths on both sides of
the road will remain open.
The majority of our work will take place inside the manhole but
there will be some activity, such as, cutting materials taking place
inside our work area on the road.
Work will take place between Thursday 9 and Saturday 11
February. The traffic management will be removed on Saturday
evening, but we will need to return to site, week commencing 13
February for one day, with traffic management in place.
