What we are doing

Network Rail require to build a new access point to the railway at Clarkson Row to make space for HS2 to be built at Euston.

An access point is a gateway to the railway, allowing maintenance staff and emergency services safe and quick access to and from the network when it is needed. This location was chosen as a safe access point from the west to the east side of the station. Without this access point, there would be a risk that train services to and from Euston station could be severely disrupted, our workers and the emergency services would have to walk line-side to reach and fix any faults on the railway or in the event of an emergency.

At present Network Rail surveyors and the project team are in the process of finalising details that will enable our main works to commence, but as this is both complex and critical, it is taking a little longer than originally anticipated. As soon as we have a better understanding of where we are and when the works will start we will be in contact with you.

If you have any queries or complaints about the work, please telephone our 24-hour national helpline on 03457 11 41 41 or email [email protected]. Please use the reference at the start of this letter.
