What we are doing
Archaeology work off Wood End Lane, Fradley
We will be carrying out archaeological test pitting work on land off Wood End Lane. This work is due to start from Monday 24th May for around 1 week (subject to weather and site conditions).
A team of archaeologists will be working on the site to excavate localised test pits within a one hectare area. Machinery will be used to remove the topsoil before archaeologists dig by hand and carefully record any findings.
To enable the works, a small compound will be set up with welfare facilities and a parking area. Access will be off Wood End Lane.
