Update Bridge works on Old Oak Common Lane 6 – 24 November

What we are doing

We wrote to you in the summer about the ongoing piling works around the Central Line. You can read the previous notification here

To widen the Central line under bridge in the future, we need to carry out works to strengthen the bridge. We will be removing existing brick walls and replacing with temporary propping.

These works will begin on Monday 6 November until Friday 24 November. Due to the location and proximity of live trains, these works and will take place from 1:30am – 4:30am (please see map below for location). We will not be working on the following dates 5, 15 and 19 November.

We will be using hand tools such as handheld breakers, grinders and welding equipment to remove and install the bridge supports.

Sensors will be placed around the site to monitor noise, and these will be triggered if the noise levels become too high and we will stop works.

Lighting will be facing away from residents to minimise light disturbance.
