What we are doing

Update on schedule of piling works and hoarding adjustments between Coniston and Cartmel in Regents Park Estate.

• We are currently preparing the section of our worksite between Coniston and Cartmel for piling. We expect to start sheet piling onsite between Coniston and Cartmel in May, working our way from north to south. We then expect to start main piling (auger piling) in summer.
• We need to move a section of our site hoarding next to Cartmel carpark to make way for piling activities. The hoarding adjustment works to start from 21 April.

Cartmel sewer diversion – February to May 2022

• We are moving the sewer in front of Cartmel closer to the building to clear our working area.
• We will install a new section of pipe beneath the ground, and construct two manholes to connect the new pipework to the existing system.
• For safety, we will use an electric pump to move sewage over ground between two manholes, to keep our working area clear while we install the new pipework. The pump will be on during the day and night, but it will be quiet and we do not expect residents to notice.
• There will be periods of noisy work as we excavate pits beside the building to install the pipework below ground, and as we remove sections of concrete and an existing manhole to replace it with a new one.
• Access to Cartmel main entrance to be maintained at all times
