What we are doing
We will be closing the road to conduct road level surveys and inspections in and around the carriageway.
Location
Kings Lane from the junction with Wood Lane to the junction with B485 Chesham Road.
Duration
The road will be closed 9:30am to 3:30pm every day from Monday 2 February to Friday 6 February 2026. The road will reopen every day from 3:30pm.
What to expect
- Advanced warnings and signage for motorists will be placed at both ends of the road closure to inform pedestrians and road users.
- Access for residents living within the road closure and for emergency vehicles will be maintained and will be carefully managed
Our survey team will be visible and working in the carriageway throughout daylight hours while the road is closed.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
