What we are doing
The proposed HS2 train line will pass through this location close to Lavender Hall Farm. HS2’s proposed design impacts with Severn Trent Water assets, which will require diversion.
Murphy & Sons is working in partnership with Severn Trent Water to divert two water mains in the area. We need to carry out significant earthworks across this public right of way to divert the existing pipe works. The closure of the footpath is to ensure the safety of our workforce and allow us to protect walkers in the area as we carry out our work.
The works will include excavating across the field and behind the Multi Vehicle Movers location. We will be carrying out works to divert the existing water mains, installing two new mains and constructing a protective slab above the newly diverted assets.
All activity will take place in a secure area, you may see an increase in construction traffic in the area during the works. There will be signage in the area, where the footpath closure will take place. Access to the fisheries and café will be maintained.
