What we are doing
The launching girder being used to construct the Colne Valley Viaduct, named “Dominique”, will soon mark the halfway point in the construction of Britain’s longest viaduct by crossing over Moorhall Road in Hillingdon. Work to move the launching girder is expected to begin on Monday 6 November. Road traffic and pedestrians will not be affected by the works.
Work to transfer the launching girder over the pre-constructed deck over Moorhall Road will be undertaken from 6 November to 10 November 24 hours a day, subject to weather conditions.
