What we are doing
We wrote to you in November to inform you about works at our site at West Ruislip Portal.
We would like to update you on the works programme as the demobilisation progresses throughout the next few months until 31 July 2026.
The next phase of the demobilisation and removal works will be carried out according the following schedule:
- 24/7 removal of tunnelling services works inside the tunnel ongoing until 31 July
- 24/7 water treatment plant removal ongoing until 30 April
- 24/7 formwork and concrete pouring ongoing until 31 July
- Attenuation tank removal (core hours) ongoing until 31 July
- Conveyor foundation removal works (core hours) ongoing until 31 July
- Concrete silo removal works (extended core hours) from 1 March to 31 July
- Workshop and storage facilities demobilisation (extended core hours) from 1 June to 31 July
Working hours:
- 24/7 – 24 hours a day, 7 days.
- Core hours – Mondays to Fridays 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 1pm.
- Extended core hours will be Mondays to Fridays 8am to 10pm, Saturdays 8am to 6pm.
What to expect:
You may notice crane movements to lift the equipment for demobilising structures. We will use excavators to break out concrete and noise barriers will be in place at these locations. There will be dumper trucks transporting materials and concrete.

Next upcoming event will be on Tuesday 17 March 2026, 3pm to 6pm and Tuesday 21 April 2026, 3pm to 6pm.

HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
