What we are doing
What we are doing
We are carrying out the following works in the vicinity of Herlwyn Avenue. We will be removing some boreholes located on the rugby club pitch. There will also be the installation of surveying equipment to measure any ground movement related to the tunnel boring machines. This work will take place in October and will take a minimal amount of time.
Ahead of the start of tunnelling, we will also be carrying out protection works to the pedestrian footbridge at the Transport for London depot located trackside at the rear of Herlwyn Avenue. Please see the map overleaf for precise location and details of the works to be carried out.
How these works might affect you
Due to the location of the above activities, we will need to access both areas from Herlwyn Avenue. We will ensure vehicles making deliveries are there for the shortest time possible. However, vehicles carrying scaffolding and tools will remain on the street.
Due to the proximity to the live railway, the bridge protection works will take place overnight when trains are not running.
Please be assured that our ground movement assessments have indicated that tunnelling will cause minimal or no damage to properties in this area and that HS2 is responsible for any damage caused to your house as a result of our works.
