HS2 Works Notification: A413 London Road Christmas closure and traffic management

What we are doing

The construction of Small Dean Viaduct requires us to divert a section of the A413 London Road to install piles for the viaduct piers. To continue our works, we need to excavate a section of land to bring it down to ground level near to the A413 carriageway and the Chiltern Line, to enable piling to take place in 2023.

To ensure we will be able to complete the works and for the safety of road users as we are working with large machinery close to the road, we are required to introduce traffic management, including some closures during December.

Works take place:

• 25 December – 1am – 7am A413 London Road closure
• 25 – 29 December – 7pm – 7am A413 London Road closure
• 1 January – 1am – 7am A413 London Road closure
• 2 – 3 January – 7pm – 7am A413 London Road closure

Daytime temporary traffic lights throughout this period.

Emergency access will be permitted at all times.

These dates may be subject to change due to circumstances outside of our control. All works are subject to consents from the local authority to work outside of normal working hours.
