HS2 Works Notification: Early works update and road closure, Calvert

What we are doing

We will be carrying out CCTV drainage surveys along School Hill/Werner Terrace. Should our drainage surveys discover there is a blockage in the local drain network, strong jet washing will be used to flush the local drain system. These survey works will require traffic management in the form of a lane closure with two-way traffic lights.

We will also be carrying out overnight topographical surveys along Brackley Lane and School Hill/ Werner Terrace in late October and early November.

These works will require some overnight road closures as our team will be working directly on the carriageway. While these overnight road closures are in place, access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.

We will also be disconnecting any existing utilities that are located across the current bridge this autumn and winter. To carry out these works, some temporary traffic management will be required.

A section of School Hill/Werner Terrace will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am beginning Monday 7 November 2022 for three nights.

A section of Brackley Lane will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am beginning Thursday 10 November 2022 for two nights. Due to circumstances outside of our control, such as weather, these dates may be subject to change.
