What we are doing
Between Saturday 16 April and Monday 18 April, we will be installing a bridge over the Chiltern Rail line between Wendover and Great Missenden for the construction of our conveyor.
For reasons of safety, these works will require the full closure of the Chiltern rail line over Easter. Our workforce will be working 24-hours a day between those times.
To maintain connectivity the rail operator will be running a bus replacement during this time.
Additional overnight works will also be required to complete the installation, fitting and final positioning of the bridge. The final testing of the conveyor will take place in early July 2022
The Chiltern rail line will be fully closed from Saturday 16 April, 00:55am, to Monday 18 April, 04:15am, with a replacement bus service in operation.
Additional overnight works on the bridge will also take place, under Network Rail possession, on the following dates:
• Monday 18 April to Thursday 21 April between 01:00am – 05:15am;
• Sunday 24 April between 01:00am – 07:15am; and
• Monday 25 April to Thursday 28 April between 01:00am – 05:15am.
The final commissioning and testing of the conveyor will take place overnight, under Network Rail possession, on Sunday 10 July 2022 between 01:00am – 07:15am.
Due to circumstances outside of our control, such as weather, these dates may be subject to change.
