What we are doing
As part of our continued preparatory works, we need move stone between two of our sites along the A422 near Westbury. To do this safely, we will introduce traffic management in the form of two-way lights that will be manually controlled.
The two-way traffic lights will remain on green to allow for the flow of traffic on the A422 to continue until our plant and machinery are ready to cross. The lights will then be manually changed to red, for short intervals, to allow for the safe crossing of our construction vehicles. Once these vehicles have completed crossing the A422, the lights will be changed back to green to allow local road users to resume their journey safely.
To reduce disruption as much as possible for local road users, traffic management will only be introduced overnight.
The A422 will have traffic management from 8.00pm to 4.00am, on Wednesday 9 February and on Friday 25 February.
