What we are doing
We have begun excavating and moving earth with large items of construction plant and these works will soon cross the network of footpaths near Radbourne Lane, near Ladbroke village, referred to as footpaths SM96/1 SM96/2 and SM96a1.
Due to the location of these Public Rights of Way, and how they cross our construction area, a safe diversion route for walkers is currently not possible. The footpaths will be closed for period of approximately 3 years.
In early 2022, as our construction work progresses, we will assess if any alternative routes are possible.
Once our construction work is completed, these footpaths will be redirected under the Lower Radbourne Viaduct.
Footpaths SM96/1 SM96/2 and SM96a1 will be closed on Monday 29 November. Closure notices will be signposted.
