What we are doing
During our main construction works, we will be using internal haul and access roads for our construction traffic, reducing the amount of construction traffic on the local highways.
In order to build the access and haul road, we need to construct a highways crossing area on Wardington Road, and we will need to fully close a section of Wardington Road, 24 hours a day, for approximately four weeks starting on Tuesday 19 April.
During this road closure, we will build a strengthened road surface using concrete to ensure that we protect the road and any utilities underneath it for the duration of our works. In addition to our resurfacing works, we will also be carrying out white lining and installing temporary traffic lights at the crossing point. The traffic lights ensure safe, controlled crossing from our works sites across the highway.
Wardington Road will be fully closed, 24 hours a day, from Tuesday 19 April to Monday 16 May, with a diversion in place.
We will work to open the roads to reduce disruption as soon as possible.
