What we are doing
To complete some finishing works at the Finmere Bridge it will be necessary to close the A4421 overnight, for approximately 1 week. These works will involve the completion of the bridge hoarding. Once these works are complete, the A4421 will reopen as normal.
Due to these finishing works requiring large plant and machinery, we are required to close these sections of road until they are complete. This is for the safety of road users and our staff. To reduce the inconvenience to road users, this closure will take place overnight.
The A4421 will be closed overnight, 8.00pm to 6.00am, from Monday 27 September to Friday 1 October, with a diversion route in place. It will also be fully closed, 24 hours a day, from Friday 1 October to Monday 4 October, with a diversion route in place.
Should these works be delayed, our contingency dates are Friday 8 October to Monday 11 October, the road will be fully closed 24 hours a day, with a diversion route in place. We will work to open the roads to reduce disruption as soon as possible.
