What we are doing
In April, we will continue works for the realignment of the A423, and the construction of the A423 Banbury Road Overbridge. We will be carrying out utility diversions from the area just north of Ladbroke towards Southam on the A423. To safely carry out this work, there will be daytime, two-way and three-way traffic lights.
The A423 Banbury Road Overbridge will require construction activity close to the existing highway. To enable this the northbound A423 layby, located just north of Ladbroke, will be permanently closed just after the Easter weekend. A new layby will be constructed as part of our highway construction and we expect this to be open in early 2025.
A section of the A423 Banbury Road will have traffic lights in place from Tuesday 11 April to Friday 5 May 2023, between 8am and 5pm.
The layby located on the northbound side of the A423 will also be permanently closed from Tuesday 11 April 2023.
These dates may be subject to change due to circumstances outside of our control, such as poor weather.
