What we are doing
In July and August, we will be carrying out a series of CCTV drainage surveys along the Wendover Bypass and Nash Lee Road. We will also be carrying out preparatory works for the temporary realignment of Nash Lee Road, which is expected to be open in Autumn 2022.
The CCTV surveys will provide us with information on the condition and location of the utility services and help us to decide how best to protect them while we are building HS2. These works will also enable us to understand the levels of silt within the system by sending small CCTV camera into the system.
In order to carry out these works safely we will need to introduce temporary traffic management in the form of two-way traffic lights on both the Wendover Bypass and Nash Lee Road.
The Wendover Bypass and Nash Lee Road will have temporary traffic management, off-peak, from 9.00am to 3.00pm on Monday 11 July to Friday 5 August 2022 as follows:
• Nash Lee Road CCTV Works – 11 July to 15 July 2022
• Wendover Bypass CCTV Works– 18 July to 22 July 2022
• Nash Lee Road diversion works – 25 July to 5 August 2022
As a contingency, should we be unable to conduct these works during these windows, we may also need to book closures/traffic management measures on these roads in the following weeks.
