What we are doing
The HS2 Code of Construction Practice (CoCP) provides details about the working hours that contractors are able to operate. The code sets out ‘core working hours’ which are 8am to 6pm on weekdays (excluding bank holidays) and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. The CoCP describes how there are circumstances where ‘additional working hours’ will be required with the consent of the local authority. These circumstances include activity that is daylight or weather dependent, some structural work, essential maintenance and repairs.
The table below shows the working hours, where consent is in place, until the end of March 2023:
