What we are doing
Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV) is working in partnership with HS2 Ltd to build the new railway in your area. The closure of the M54 and M56 footpaths is now being extended to December 2026 with the continuation of a temporary alternative route for period of construction. The section of the footpath closed is marked orange on the map below and the alternative route is marked in blue. Existing footpaths are marked in black.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
