What we are doing
As part of our works for the HS2 line, and the Stoke Mandeville Relief Road we have installed long term closures on two roads in the area, Marsh Lane and Old Risborough Road.
Both Marsh Lane and Old Risborough Road have been closed since Wednesday 5th May 2021. There is currently no through route for vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians via either of these roads.
Works here have included enabling works such as topsoil stripping and site clearance works, followed by earthworks and diversion of utilities. We have constructed an internal haul road and now works are underway on the HS2 line of route.
Works have been taking place on Marsh Lane where we have needed to close approximately 600m of the road in order to construct the HS2 rail line, the Stoke Mandeville Relief Road and our internal haul road. On Old Risborough Road the closure at the midway point of the road, is for the construction of the HS2 line and our internal haul road.
Full access will be maintained for those close residents and businesses.
