Notice for additional piling works from 6 February 2023

What we are doing

From 6 February 2023, we will begin ground strengthening works to support deep excavation activities for the construction of the station. These works require large machinery, including two mobile cranes, one piling rig and excavation machinery.

Due to the size of these machines, and the large vehicles required to transport them to the site, oversized deliveries will need to take place in the early morning to minimise disruption to traffic. Therefore, there will be a temporary increase in the number of large vehicles arriving and departing from the site.

Throughout the course of these works, we will ensure that noise is kept within permitted levels and consistent with best practice guidelines. We will use sound barriers and dust suppressants to minimise the impact on our site neighbours.
