What we are doing
We will be completing the installation of permanent road signage on and around the realigned A41 Bicester Road near Waddesdon and Fleet Marston.
Location
Blackgrove Road north, A41 Bicester Road and the old Bicester Road
Duration
5 nights from Monday 12 January to Saturday 17 January 2026, with each closure lasting from 8:30pm to 5:30am. The final closure will be lifted at 5:30am on Saturday 17 January.
What to expect
Overnight closures of Blackgrove Road north, A41 Bicester Road and the Old Bicester Road. This will include the Waddesdon and Blackgrove Road roundabouts and the A41 overbridge. There will be no access to Waddesdon via the Waddesdon Hill junction with Bicester Road. Signposted diversion routes will be in place.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area
