What we are doing
A new high-speed railway station is being built within Solihull, near the M42, A45 Coventry Road and A446, close to the NEC and Birmingham Business Park. To ensure the local road network is fit for purpose when the future HS2 interchange station is operational, we have been improving and expanding the existing road network. From 27 January, road users traveling north on the A452 will no longer be diverted via the smaller roundabout by the Holiday Inn to reach the A446 link road (Melbicks Garden Centre). Instead, road users can continue around the fully operational roundabout. In order for us to fully open the roundabout we will need to close the southbound slip road (Biddles Loop) and a short section of lane one of the A446 for one night between 8pm Saturday 25 January until 6am on Sunday 26 January.
