What we are doing
To prepare for the construction of the HS2 railway line, taking it under the A5, we will be excavating a short stretch of the westbound verge to facilitate construction of the bridge. To carry out the work safely, we will be installing a westbound single lane closure between Weeford Interchange and Fazeley on the A5.
We will be working on a 130m stretch of the A5, from Wednesday 8 December at 9:00pm to Tuesday 21 December 2021 at 5:00am. Further works are planned in this location for the new year and we will communicate updates once consents are in place.
