What we are doing
We are currently creating ecological mitigation ponds surrounded by grassland habitat creation on land to the north of Yarnfield Lane in Stone which are due to be completed in November.
We have been asked by HS2 to excavate some archaeological trial trenches in the area of land between our site and the M6 motorway. These are to help them understand if there are any archaeological features or natural geological deposits, that they need to be aware of before they start any other work.
We will use a mechanical excavator to dig the trenches. No further excavation takes place at this stage.
When the work will take place
We will start the archaeological works will start on Monday 24 October and will last for three weeks.
