Notice of BT chamber construction inside the site compound on Wormwood Scrubs

What we are doing

As part of our station construction works, we need to divert a BT cable, which is located inside the BBVS site compound on Wormwood Scrubs.

This activity includes the construction of an underground chamber to create a new route for the BT cable. Before we begin to dig into the soil to create the chamber, we will be stabilising the area by installing vertical timber supports. These works are scheduled to begin today (Tuesday 11 June 2024) until Saturday 15 June 2024.

Once the BT chamber has been constructed, we will create the new route for the BT cable. This work will take place from Monday 17 June until Friday 23 August 2024. Your BT services will not be affected by these works. All work will take place between Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 1pm.

We are aware that these works may create some noise, so we will:

• put up noise barriers around the work area
• carefully handle tools and equipment
• be mindful of the placement and handling of materials
• control raised voices on site

We also plan to locate machinery and noise-causing activities away from residents where reasonably practicable.
