Duration
Daytime off-peak closures in both directions on Wood End Lane from Monday 2 March to Friday 6 March 2026 08:00 to 18:00 then temporary traffic lights from 18:00 to 08:00 Daytime off-peak closures in both directions Monday 9 March to Friday 13 March 2026 08:00 to 18:00.
What we are doing
We will be completing the construction of the footway on Wood End Lane and carrying out the associated tie‑in works to connect with the Netherstowe Lane diversion.
What to expect
There will be daytime off peak full closures in both directions, with traffic signals overnight protect the works.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
