Notice of Ellesborough Road lane closure for utility works

What we are doing

In March, we completed our works for the new alignment of Ellesborough Road. We implemented traffic management due to the high voltage cable encased in concrete in the road. We are awaiting a date from one of our utility partners to remove the cable, and as a result we have had to extend traffic management on the road until 31 May.

There are currently three-way traffic lights, 24 hours a day on Ellesborough Road. These will remain in place until our partner can move the cable and the concrete is removed.

Pedestrian and resident access is being maintained throughout this lane closure.

When will these works take place?

• Sunday 19 May 2024 – 31 May 2024

Please note, these dates may be subject to change due to circumstances outside of our control but will be completed on or around the timings specified.

Should our team finish earlier than planned, we will open the road when practicable.
