Notice of footpath closure Waddesdon Greenway

What we are doing

From March, our continuing works on the HS2 line will focus on the area around the Waddesdon Greenway crossing, which intersects with the new railway route.

Next to the Waddesdon Greenway crossing with the HS2 worksite, we have identified an area of historical contamination. As a result, we must carry out remediation works at the affected area. Due to the proximity with the Waddesdon Greenway, we must close the crossing to ensure our teams can work in a safe working zone and to ensure the safety of the public.

The Greenway crossing will remain open to the public during daytime hours but will close overnight for four nights to allow this work to take place. There will be no access across the HS2 worksite via the Waddesdon Greenway during this time. These works have been coordinated to occur overnight to ensure minimum disruption to the public.

When will these works take place?
Monday 11 March to Thursday 14 March – Footpath closure overnight from 8pm to 5am
