What we are doing
What the works involve
Ground investigation works are being carried out to help us better
understand the ground conditions along the route to inform the
detailed design of the railway. The ground investigation techniques
that will be used on this project will primarily include the drilling of
boreholes, trial pits and cone penetration tests. We will be carrying
out survey work on land situated adjacent to the Jonghams Lane
and B5013 and access to the survey sites will be clearly signed. We
will be using some heavy goods vehicles as well as light goods
vehicles, such as tractors and telehandlers, to carry out the work at
these sites.
