What we are doing
We’re carrying out ground investigation work to help us better understand the ground conditions along the route. This will help to inform the detailed design of the railway. To do this, we will use techniques including the drilling of boreholes and trial pits. We will be carrying out survey works on land off Shaw Lane and the A515, Lichfield. To carry out the work, we will use some heavy goods vehicles as well as light goods vehicles, such as tractors and telehandlers.
How we will reduce disruption
We will keep construction traffic to a minimum, wherever possible. To reduce impact on your journeys, we will avoid travelling at peak times during the day. We will also keep our sites secure at all times.
