What we are doing
As part of our works to build the Bromford tunnel, which is a 3.5 mile (5.6km) twin-bore tunnel designed to take trains underground between Water Orton in North Warwickshire and Washwood Heath in Birmingham, construction traffic will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week on Attleboro Lane plant crossing and associated haul roads.
The Bromford Tunnel Boring Machines will remove a significant amount of material from what will be the new tunnel. As a result, we are using LGVs to move that displaced material, which is the reason for the increase in construction traffic using the haul road and plant crossing.
From Wednesday 10 July, there will be increased construction traffic crossing Attleboro Lane. Temporary traffic management will be controlled by the traffic lights located at the plant crossing. Access to residents will be maintained throughout.
