What we are doing
We need to remove a lamp post outside no.95 Finchley Road, opposite the Odeon Cinema, so that we can continue our works to divert the gas main in South Hampstead. This needs to take place overnight for safety reasons.
The works will take place between 8pm and 5am for one night only between 21 and 25 November 2025. We are not able to confirm which night, as this is subject to last minute change.
We will use a truck mounted crane to carry out these works. You may hear some noise from the machinery. We will have noise reducing barriers in place where possible.
A part of the bus lane will be closed, however the bus stop N will remain open.
The lamppost will be replaced at the end of our work to replace the gas main in South Hampstead. Until then, the lighting from nearby lamps will be increased to meet the required lighting levels in the area.
