What we are doing
We will be completing minor highway works following the recent safety inspection.

A361, Chipping Warden bypass

8pm Friday 16 January to 6am Monday 19 January 2026, 24 hours.

If we are unable to complete these works due to poor weather or programme delay, we will use the below contingency dates:
8pm Friday 23 January to 6am Monday 26 January 2026, 24 hours.
What to expect
- 2-way temporary traffic lights for a lane closure on the roundabout near Chipping Warden.
- Closure of a section of the old A361 between the roundabouts.
- Night works, involving additional lighting and some noise from use of machinery.
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
