Notice of lane closures and road closures, A41 Bicester Road and Blackgrove Road

What we are doing

We will be carrying out finishing works at several locations along the newly aligned A41 Bicester Road up to Blackgrove Road, as well as laying and connecting new sections of gas pipe on both sides of the Fleet Marston temporary roundabout. The latter will include pressure testing. Atntimes, the worksite within the lane closures may appear to be inactive while this takes place. There will be lane closures on some sections of the new A41 Bicester Road, the old Bicester Road (formerly the A41) and Blackgrove Road. This will primarily be off peak working Mon-Fri but will also include limited weekend working and extended working hours as necessary. There will be 2 overnight road closures on the A41 Bicester Road and Blackgrove Road in January 2025 to allow the removal of temporary road studs and to install permanent solar powered studs.

• Monday 25 November – Friday 20 December, 2-way & 3-way traffic lights, 9am-3pm*
•  Thursday 23 January – Saturday 25 January 2025, overnight road closures, 8:30pm-5:30am

*During this period, there will also be extended working hours and weekend working for a period of several to allow for SGN gas main connections and testing. This period will commence 7am Saturday 14 December until 3pm Thursday 19 December during which time there will be lane closures on the A41 controlled by traffic lights.
