What we are doing
Since 2017, we have been remodelling and improving sections of the existing road network in the area and creating new routes on HS2 land. These road improvements will ensure that when the future station is operational, the local road network is fit for purpose. Upon completion, a new T-junction will replace Northway Island.
To complete sections of the new highway areas, we need to do some works to the central reservation on the Northway Island entrance and exit to Birmingham Business Park. In order to do this work safely, we need to put in place a lane closure, either side of the central reservation.
An off peak single lane closure will be in place on the entrance and exit from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day from 30 May to 2 June 2023. You will still be able to enter and exit onto Northway Island, and access to the Business Park via Progress Way will be open as normal.
