What we are doing
Location
M42 southbound and M6 Toll Road carriageway from junctions 8 to 7a, and the M6 Toll Road southbound from junction What3Words- from ///enable.toned.friend to ///relate.apple.shock
Duration
The road will be closed overnight from 21:00pm to 05:00am each night on the following dates:
• Monday 30 March
• Tuesday 31 March
• Wednesday 1 April
What we are doing
We will be conducting motorway and carriageway surfacing and drainage, as part of the M42 Triple Box.

Low level of noise from our machinery and a clearly signed diversion route This work is subject to consent with National Highways
HS2 is undergoing a comprehensive reset to ensure it can be built efficiently and for the lowest reasonable cost. This work is being carried out in stages and will be completed in 2026. We will provide you with updates on the reset and what this means for our plans to build the railway in your area.
